How to play Connect 4 - Tic Tac Toe Variant

Introduction to Connect 4

Connect 4 is one of the board games. It can also be played as a paper and pencil game. This game is played on grids with a height of 6 grids and a width of 7 grids. The round red and yellow disc can be represented with symbols like "O" and "X" respectively.

Rules in Connect 4

Players alternately placing their discs in the 6x7 grids. The main objective of this game is to form an unbroken chain of  4 discs vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.

The discs cannot float in the air. Every disc must follow the gravitational force and be pulled downward.

Example game 1

The player with the symbol "X" places his or her symbol incorrectly. The symbol float in the "air" and it does not obey the rule of gravitational force which pulls the disc down.

Example game 2

The player with the symbol "O" wins this game because the player manages to form a chain of 4 discs diagonally.

Example game 3

The player with the symbol "O" wins this game because the player manages to form a chain of 4 stones horizontally.
